Willow Health Media attended the official launch of EWENE at State House, Nairobi. The initiative targets the persistent divide between political commitment and care on the ground.
Kenya has formally joined the Every Woman, Every Newborn, Everywhere (EWENE) initiative, a globally coordinated effort led by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to eliminate preventable maternal and newborn deaths through stronger health systems and accountability.
The initiative brings together the government, development partners, and health sector stakeholders around shared goals, with an emphasis on data-driven delivery, community engagement, and closing the gap between health policy and access on the ground.

Willow Health Media attended the official launch at State House, Nairobi, on May 28, 2026, represented by Chief Operating Officer Riziki Shaher. The organisation’s presence reflects its role in the wider health ecosystem, both through storytelling and active participation in policy dialogue.
“As health systems evolve, the ability to communicate data, amplify critical issues, and connect stakeholders becomes central to driving real-world impact,” the initiative’s backers noted.
Kenya’s involvement in EWENE places the country within a broader global movement focused on scalable, accountable solutions to maternal and newborn health, with collaboration between governments and partners at its centre.
