Willow Health Media is Kenya’s first independent, digital newsroom dedicated exclusively to health and science journalism. It is a non profit organisation where evidence meets storytelling, turning complex health issues into clear, compelling narratives.
Founded in 2024, Willow was born out of a belief that an informed public is essential to achieving health equity. Like its namesake the resilient willow tree, our work is rooted, healing, and far-reaching. 

Experts realised that reducing maternal and child deaths would take more than boardroom discussions and textbook strategies, so they brought Turkana’s community elders to the policy table.
