Willow Health Media is Kenya’s first independent, digital newsroom dedicated exclusively to health and science journalism. It is a non profit organisation where evidence meets storytelling, turning complex health issues into clear, compelling narratives.
Founded in 2024, Willow was born out of a belief that an informed public is essential to achieving health equity. Like its namesake the resilient willow tree, our work is rooted, healing, and far-reaching.
Refurbished washrooms now have tiled walls without cracks, wall-mounted chrome flush systems, and granite sink with running water, hot showers and mirrors; a world away from the video that shamed the hospital a year ago.
