Over the years, reports of insecurity in both public and private hospitals across Kenya have steadily increased, ranging from minor breaches to severe, sometimes fatal, incidents.

National referral hospitals such as Kenyatta National Hospital and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital have borne the brunt of these cases due to their size and the high volume of patients they serve.

These range from child trafficking and medical supply heists to dramatic breakouts and cold-blooded murders.
